Line up

The National (US)

The brilliant albums “Boxer”, “High Violet”, “Trouble Will Find Me”, “Sleep Well Beast” and ”I Am Easy to Find” haven’t just transformed The National to one of the biggest indie rock band of this era, they have also turned them into one of the world’s most praised acts.

That The National have four albums on the Best Albums Ever list speaks loud and clear. That these four masterpieces where produced within just eight years is a sensational achievement.

Cat Power (US)

For many Cat Power is the heart and soul of American indie rock. For over 25 years she has released music that constantly proves her enormous power and influence as both a songwriter and a producer. She is often mentioned in the same sentence as PJ Harvey and she has paved the road for new artists such as Snail Mail, Mitski and Angel Olsen.

After releasing ”Wanderer” in 2018 the recently released ”Covers”, where she puts her own signature on Frank Ocean, The Pogues etc.

Sharon Van Etten (US)

When Sharon Van Eaten released the album ”Remind Me Tomorrow” in 2019 it was to the sound of great reviews and impressed fans.

During the four years that had passed since her previous album – ”Are We There” – Sharon had acted in the TV series The OA and Twin Peaks: The Return, composed film scores to ”Strange Weather”, collaborated with The National, studied and given birth to a son. And also she had more or less put away her guitar.

Albin Lee Meldau (SE)

Even though Albin Lee Meldau already had a successful international career, the broader Swedish audience didn’t knew who he was when he entered the TV show Så mycket bättre.

Albin’s impressive covers took Sweden by storm and manifested his position as one of Sweden’s most interesting and impressive artists. Since then he has kept on moving forward with strong releases, such as the album ”På svenska” and the beautiful EP ”Epistlar”.
