David Byrne

David Byrne – frontman and creative driving force behind Talking Heads and one of popular music’s most visionary figures – is a live performer of rare caliber. With timeless classics such as Burning Down the HouseOnce in a LifetimePsycho Killer, and This Must Be the Place, he has shaped generations of artists and listeners. His solo career, the Broadway success American Utopia, and his constantly evolving stage language make every live appearance something far more than just a concert.

When Byrne last took the stage in New York this past fall, the show was praised in Aftonbladet by Per Bjurman as a joyful, life-affirming tour de force, where the combination of iconic Talking Heads songs and new material turned the evening into an experience that lit up all of New York. He also recently performed together with Robyn during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary, a celebrated meeting between two cross-generational pop icons.

The performance at Rosendal Garden Party will be his only Swedish date on the upcoming European tour, and a long-awaited opportunity for Swedish audiences to experience David Byrne live. The last time David Byrne performed in Sweden was in 2013.

Sienna Spiro

Every year, a voice or artist emerges who completely floors you. This year, that artist is Sienna Spiro, who stands on the brink of a global breakthrough. She may have debuted last year with the EP Sink Now, Swim Later and the single Maybe, but there is no doubt that Die On This Hill is currently the soundtrack for a new generation.

Music journalist Jan Gradvall has hailed her as “the first major new star of 2026” following her performance on The Tonight Show with the song Die On This Hill, even stating during his appearance on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon last Friday that he would ceremonially break his little finger if it does not come true. Sienna is also nominated for Rising Star at the BRIT Awards in February – an award previously given to artists such as Adele and Sam Smith.

With her emotionally precise lyrics and rapidly growing global audience, Sienna Spiro is predicted to become one of this year’s most successful new artists at lightning speed. Rosendal Garden Party will be the Swedish audience’s first and only chance to experience her live this year.

Slowdive

At last, the pioneers are set to take the stage at a Stockholm festival. With classic albums such as Souvlaki and Just for a Day, the band has had a massive influence on the evolution of alternative music. Emerging in the early 1990s, Slowdive became synonymous with the shoegaze movement, crafting a sound defined by swirling guitars, hazy textures, hushed vocals, and deeply immersive atmospheres. Their music balances melody and abstraction, blending dreamy beauty with emotional depth and subtle melancholy.

Following their critically acclaimed comeback and recent releases, Slowdive have enjoyed a powerful resurgence and are now attracting a new generation of shoegaze enthusiasts. Their more recent material expands their sonic palette while staying true to the lush, enveloping soundscapes that made them iconic, proving that the band continues to evolve without losing their identity.

The performance at Rosendal will be a long-awaited return and their only show in Sweden this year.

José González

Since his breakthrough with the debut album Veneer (2003) and the iconic rendition of Heartbeats, José González has repeatedly demonstrated a unique ability to create music that is both understated and deeply affecting.

Through albums such as In Our NatureVestiges & Claws, and most recently Local Valley, González has continued to evolve his sound without losing the intimacy that has become his hallmark. Songs like CrossesDown the Line, and Stay Alive have become modern classics, defined by fingerpicked guitar, subtle arrangements, and existential lyrics.

On his new album, José González continues to explore themes of human presence, time, nature, and connection. The result is a cohesive body of work where stillness meets melodic beauty, and every song feels carefully yet organically shaped.

With his distinctive voice and timeless songwriting, González creates music that resonates on a profound level. The new album marks another strong chapter in an already impressive catalogue.

This summer, José González comes to Rosendal Garden Party – and it will be the only chance to see him live in Stockholm in 2026.
